Correct Answer - Option 1 : 6.25%

Given:

Total mangoes = 140

Rate = Rs. 12 per mango

Rotten mangoes = 15% of total mangoes

Concept Used:

P% = [(S.P - C.P)/C.P] × 100

P% = Profit percentage, S.P = Selling Price, C.P = Cost Price

Calculation:

According to the question,

Remaining mangoes = 140 × 85% = 119

Total Cost Price = 140 × 12 = 1680

C.P of remaining mangoes = 119 × 12 = 1428

SP of remaining mangoes = 1428 × 1.25 = 1785

Profit on remaining mangoes = 1785 – 1680 = 105

Profit percent = (105/1680) × 100

⇒ 6.25%

∴ The profit percent is 6.25%.
