Correct Answer - Option 3 : 1,60,083

Given:

The population of a town = 1,54,000

Population increase during first year = 5%

Population decrease during second year = 10%

Population increase during third year = 10%

Calculation:

The population after first year = 154000 × 105/100 = 161700

⇒ The population after second year = 161700 × 90/100 = 145530

⇒ The population after third year = 145530 × 110/100 = 160083

∴ The population of the town after 3 years is 160083.
