Correct Answer - Option 4 : 1/2 (AB-CD)

Given:

In a trapezium ABCD, if E and F be the midpoints of the diagonals AC and BD respectively

Calculation:

Join CF and product it to meet AB at G.

⇒ Δ CDF ≅ Δ GBF

⇒ CD = GB and CF = GF

Since, E and F are mid points of CA and CG, we have

⇒ EF = 1/2 (AG) = 1/2 = (AB-GB)

⇒ 1/2 (AB-CD)
