Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1, 2 and 3.
Statement I - True
The pile load test is used to determine the allowable load on piles. Two categories of test, namely initial and routine tests are carried out on piles.
Initial test is carried out on test piles estimate the allowable load and also to predict the settlement at working loads.
Routine test is carried out on working piles to check on working piles and to assess the displacement corresponding to working load.
Statement II & III - True
As per IS 2911, the allowable load on single pile shall be the lesser of the following:
1. The allowable load is two thirds of the final load at which total settlement is 12 mm or any other specified value.
2. The allowable load is 50 % of the final load at which total settlement is equal to 10 % of the pile diameter in case of uniform diameter piles and 7.5 % in case of under reamed piles.
3. The allowable load is 2/3 of the final load at which net plastic settlement is 6 mm.
