Concept:

→ Entropy transfer associated with work transfer (high grade energy) is always zero, as unavailable energy associated with work transfer is zero.

Hence statement 1 is false

→ Both heat and work can be transfer between system and surrounding once it crosses the boundary, hence heat and work are energy in transition and are path functions.

Hence statement 2 is true
