Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 5 : x = y or relation between them cannot be established

Calculation:

⇒ x2 - 3x - 10 = 0

⇒ x2 - 5x + 2x - 10 = 0

⇒ x(x - 5) + 2(x - 5) = 0

⇒ x = 5, -2

⇒ y2 - y - 6 = 0

⇒ y2 - 3y + 2y - 6 = 0

⇒ y(y - 3) + 2(y - 3) = 0

⇒ (y - 3)(y + 2) = 0

⇒ y = 3, -2
