Correct Answer - Option 2 : ₹ 11.7

Given:

The price of each apple is ₹ 10 and that of each mango is ₹ 15.

The bag contains 40 apples and 20 mangoes

Concept Used:

Sum = Average × Number of observation

Calculation:

Total price of 10 apples is 10 × 40 = 400

Total price of 20 mangoes is 20 × 15 = 300

Total price = 400 + 300 = 700

Average price per fruit of the bag = 700/(40 + 20) ≈ 11.7

∴ The approximate average price per fruit in the bag is Rs. 11.7
