Correct Answer - Option 2 : 7/9 < 4/5 < 5/6 < 17/20

Given:

7/9, 4/5, 17/20, 5/6

Concept:.

LCM method

Calculation:

LCM of 9, 5, 20 and 6 is 180

i. 7/9 = (7 × 20)/(9 × 20) = 140/180

ii. 4/5 = (4 × 36)/(5 × 36) = 144/180

iii. 17/20 = (17 × 9)/(20 × 9) = 153/180

iv. 5/6 = (5 × 30)/(6 × 30) = 150/180

∵ 140 < 144 < 150 < 153

⇒ 140/180 < 144/180 < 150/180 < 153/180

∴ 7/9 < 4/5 < 5/6 < 17/20
