Correct Answer - Option 4 : 60

Given:

Total number of legs = 200

Total number of heads = 80

Calculation:

Let there be x number of peacocks.

Number of deer = 80 – x

Number of legs a peacock has = 2

Number of legs a deer has = 4

Total number of legs, 200 = 2 × number of peacocks + 4 × number of deer

200 = 2 × x + 4 × (80 – x)

200 = 320 – 2x

Or, x = 60

∴ The number of peacocks in the zoo is 60.
