Correct Answer - Option 2 : Both A and R are true but R is not the correct explanation of A.
  • Udaipur, also known as the "City of Lakes" is a city in the state of Rajasthan in India. There are many lakes in Udaipur. So the assertion is true.
  • Lake Baikal is an ancient freshwater lake and a massive lake in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia, north of the Mongolian border. It is considered the deepest lake and the largest by volume in the world. So, the reason is also true.

But the assertion and reason are independently true.

Hence, the reason is not the correct explanation of the above assertion.
