Correct Answer - Option 3 : 288000

Given:

Dimension of brick

Length = 14 cm, breadth = 10 cm, height = 5 cm

Dimension of wall

Length = 14 m, breadth = 6 m, height = 3 m

Formula used:

The volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Calculation:

Since 20% of the wall is filled with mortar so 80% of the wall is filled with brick.

Number of bricks = (0.8 × volume of the wall) / volume of the brick

⇒ (0.8 × 14 × 6 × 3) / (0.14 × 0.10 × 0.05)

⇒ 288000

∴ The number of bricks required is 288000.
