Only a substitute player can request a substitution. He shall go to the scorer's table and ask for a substitution. The scorer signals to notify the officials that a request for substitution has been made. The substitute shall remain outside the boundary line until the official blows his whistle, signals the substitution and becomes him to enter the playing court.
