(i) The Postman

The postman is very useful for our society. The postman is an employee of the postal department. He does a very important work. He delivers letters, parcels and money-orders, etc. to the right persons. He knows every one in his jurisdiction. He moves from house to house, street to street and does his work sincerely. He is an honest man. His work is risky. He may be robbed any time while on duty. His work is really very important and difficult. Any negligence in his duty may cause much inconvenience and trouble to us. Therefore, he has to be very cautious and careful in his work. He is so essential that we cannot do without him. We must be kind to him and pay him some tips for bringing happy news to us. Thus he is an important person for our society.

(ii) Flood

A flood is a natural calamity. It is caused by heavy rainfall, it is also caused by the overflow of water in rivers in the rainy season. Sometimes floods are caused by break in the dams on big rivers. Floods mostly come suddenly. Flood water enters villages while people are sleeping. It does a great havoc. It causes much suffering to the people. The scene created by flood is fearful. Thousands of cattle and human beings are swept away by the rushing water. Many villages are inundated. Thousands of people become homeless and shelterless. Mudbuilt houses and huts are damaged. Epidemics break out. Standing crops are destroyed causing a famine-like condition in the flood-affected areas. Road and rail communications are also badly afferted.

(iii) The Season I Like Most

We experienced six season in India every year. Four of them are Important. They are the autumn season, the spring season, the winter season and the summer season. I like the spring most. It is the king of all seasons. Not a piece of cloud is seen in the sky. During this season it is neither cold nor hot. Nature is at its best everythings looks fresh and beautiful. The trees put on new leaves. Flowers bloom and give out sweet smell. The whole atmosphere is filled with fragrance. Mother earth wears a new look. One feels like working Chirping of birds inlivens the bearts, Beautiful sights of nature please the eyes. The cool breeze fills new blood in the veins. The spring has a soothing and healthy effect in the body and mind. During this season sunny day and cool nights have a charms of their own.

(iv) Honesty is the best policy

There is an old saying An honest man is honest in principle. He is not honest as a matter of policy. This proberb has its importance for those who want a gain through unfair means. In trade and commerce. we hear a slogan "business is business The reasons why so much dishonesty prevails in the world in that people want cuts to sileceys An honest man has patience. He knows that honesty pays in the long run, whether it is true or not, honesty is to be valued for its own sake. It's an honour to human nature.

(v) An Indian Farmer

The persons who cultivate the land and produce the crops called farmers. Farmers are the backbone of our country. An Indian farmer lives a very hard and painful life. He lives on farming. He has to work day and night on his faru. We all depend on him for food. But he inves a miserable life. The reason is that he does not get sufficient produce even after his hard work. Sometimes there is drought and sometimes flood Flood and drought ruin him. He is always in debt. He always lives from hand to mouth. Something should be done to improve his lot Irrigation facilities and timely mterest-free supply of seeds and fertilizer can improve his lot. Thus, the farmers are very useful for our country.
