Find the sum of (2√5 − 4√2), (3√5 + 5√2)

(2√ 5 − 4√2) + (3 √5 + 5√2) 

= 2√5 − 4√2 + 3√5 + 5√2 

= 5√2 – 4√2 + 2√5 + 3√5 

= √2 + 5√5 

∴ The sum is √2 + 5 √5.
