Correct answer is:  (4) Statement-I is false but statement-II is true

2, 4, 6-Trinitrotoluene is an explosive and not picric acid. Therefore statement-I is false

2, 4, 6-Trinitrotophenol is called picric acid. It is synthesised by the reaction of 4-hydroxybenzene1,3-disulphonic acid with conc. HNO3.

disulphonic acid

∴ Statement-II is true.
