Correct option is : (d) linear momentum remains conserved.

In non-elastic collision, after collision, the bodies do not regain their original shape and size. Therefore some of mechanical energy is not conserved. However, in absence of external force, the momentum remains conserved.

Hence, option (d) is correct.
