Three projectiles A, B and C are projected at an angle of 30°, 45°, 60° respectively. If RA, RB and RC are ranges of A, B and C respectively, then (velocity of projection is same for A, B and C) 

(1) RA = RC > R

(2) RA = RC < RB 

(3) RA = RB = R

(4) RA < RB < RC

Correct option (2) RA = RC < RB

Explanation:

Range is maximum for 45°

∴ B has maximum range

Range is same for both 30° and 60° as they are complementary angles.

∴ RA = RC < RB
