The smallest 5 – digit number = 10000

Prime factors of 10000 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 × 5 × 5

So, 10000 = 24 × 54

Therefore, distinct prime factors are = 2 and 5

Number of distinct prime factors of the smallest 5-digit number is = 2
