In America the nature of anti-negro tendency is open, rough and noisy. Any white man must have a proper cause to show his prejudices against the black man. On the other hand the American negroes can openly oppose these prejudices as they have constitutional devices available to them. Besides, they fight these biased feelings of the white man with zeal and enthusiasm. Obviously, the rest of the world may question the anti-negro tendency being followed by America. But their country has given them lots of opportunities to develop in their life.
अमेरिका में नीग्रो विरोधी धारणा की प्रकति मक्त, कठोर और शोरसराबे से युक्त थी। किसी भी गोरे आदमी को अपने नीग्रो अथवा काले लोगों के प्रति किए गए दुर्व्यवहार और पूर्वाग्रह के लिए उसका वास्तविक कारण बताना होता था। दूसरी ओर अमेरिकी नीग्रो को खुले तौर पर अपने प्रति हुए पूर्वाग्रह का विरोध कर सकता था जो अधिकार उन्हें संविधान के अधीन दिया गया था। इसके तहत वे गोरे लोगों के इस भेदकारी अनुभव का जलनशीलता और इससे संबंधित उनके उत्साह का विरोध कर सकते थे। निश्चय ही शेष विश्व के लोग इस नीग्रो विरोधी कार्य पर प्रश्न खड़े कर सकते थे जिस तरह की भावना अमेरिका में थी। लेकिन उसके देश ने उन्हें प्रचुर मात्रा में अवसर प्रदान किए ताकि वे भी अपने जीवन को सुधार सके।
