Given as x + 5 > 4x – 10

x + 5 – 5 > 4x – 10 – 5

x > 4x – 15

4x – 15 < x

4x – 15 – x < x – x

3x – 15 < 0

3x – 15 + 15 < 0 + 15

3x < 15

Divide both sides by 3, we get

3x/3 < 15/3

x < 5

Therefore, the solution of the given inequation is (-∞, 5).
