(i) 15 – 12 and 12 – 15 

(ii) -21 – 32 and -32 – (-21)

(i) 15 – 12 = 3 & 12 - 15 = 12 + (-15) = -3

15 - 12 > 12 - 15

(ii) -21 – 32 = (-21) + (-32) = -53 

Also -32 – (-21) = (-32) + (+21) = -11; -53 < -11

-21 - 32 < (-32) - (-21)
