Given that,

Total number of oranges in the box is n(s) = 150

And,

The probability of oranges being rotten is P(R) = 0.06.

∴ Probability of good oranges = 1 – Probability of rotten oranges

= 1 – 0.06

= 0.94.

∵ Probability of good oranges = \(\frac{Total\,number\,of\,good\,oranges}{Total\,number\,of \,oranges}\)

∴ Total number of good oranges in the box = 0.94 × Total number of oranges.

= 0.94 × 150 = \(\frac{94}{100}\) × 150

= 94 × \(\frac{15}{10}\)

= 47 × 3 = 141.

∴ The number of good oranges in the box is 141.
