Best answer

Possible outcomes for a thrown dice are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in which only 4 & 6 are composite number.

∴ Total possible outcomes = 6.

Total outcomes favorable to event of getting a composite number = 2.

Probability of getting a composite number

\(\frac{2}{6}\)

\(\frac{1}{3}\).

Hence,

Probability of getting a composite number is \(\frac{1}{3}\).
