माना `P(n):(ab)^(n)=a^(n)b^(n)`
चरण 1 n=1 बायाँ पक्ष `=(ab)^(1)=ab`
दायाँ पक्ष `=a^(1)b^(1)=ab`
`rarr` बायाँ पक्ष = दायाँ पक्ष
चरण 2 माना दिया गया कथन n=k के लिए सत्य है तब
`(avb)^(k+1)=(ab)^(k)(ab)`
चरण 3 माना `(ab)^(k+1)=(ab)^(k)(ab)`
`=a^(k)b^(k)(ab)`
`=(a^(k)a)(b^(k)b)`
`=a(k+1).b^(k+1)`
`=a^(k+1).b^(k+1)`
`rarr P(k+1):(ab)^(k+1)=a^(k+1).b^(k+1).b^(k+1)` सत्य है
अतः गणितीय आगमन के सिद्धांत से P(n) प्रत्येक `n in N` की लिए सत्य है
