Statement (I): A linked-bar chart is premised on a resource-based scheduled network, and so is unique to the relevant project.

Statement (II): A squared scheduled network drawn after allocating activity durations, with consideration of floats that have been originally available, may yet have the inputs-scheduling pending.
1. Both Statement (I) and Statement (II) are individually true and Statement (II) is the correct explanation of Statement (I)
2. Both Statement (I) and Statement (II) are individually true but Statement (II) is not the correct explanation of Statement (I)
3. Statement (I) is true but Statement (II) is false

Correct Answer - Option 4 : Statement (I) is false but Statement (II) is true

Concept:

Linked bar chart:

A linked bar chart uses arrows and lines to tie the activities and subsequent items, specifying the successors and predecessors of every activity.

The previous activities are linked one to another to demonstrate that one activity must be completed before the other activity can start.

The linked bar chart has an advantage of exhibiting the effect of delay on succeeding activities and also it can provide some information of the extra time available (if there is) with an activity for its completion.

A linked-bar chart is premised on a resource-based scheduled network, so it is not unique to the relevant project as it depends upon the available resources.

N-Squared diagrams are a simple but effective way to define tasks, determine the optimum sequencing of tasks and quickly see which tasks can be done in parallel to maximize lead and lag times.
