Correct Answer - Option 3 : Attention - Retention - Reproduction - Motivation

Albert Bandura, American Psychologist is famous for his "Social Learning Theory", in which he advocated that:

  • cognitive and problem-solving skills can be learned by watching and imitating others.
  • new behaviour and experiences are acquired by observing others in the immediate environment.

His theory emphasizes that the principle of social learning consists of four steps which are in the sequence given below.

Attention - Retention - Reproduction - Motivation

Attention It refers to the process of paying attention t the model to observe in order.
Retention It refers to the process of recalling the learned activity for later use.
Reproduction

It refers to the process of performing or reproducing the action.

Motivation It refers to the process of motivating learners to repeat observational learning.

Hence, it can be concluded that Attention-Retention-Reproduction and Motivation is the correct sequence.
