Correct Answer - Option 1 : 64%

Given:

Overall qualifying marks percentage = 50%

Total marks = 200 + 150 = 350

Calculation:

Total marks to be needed to qualify the exam 50% of the overall marks.

⇒ 50% × (200 + 150)

⇒ (1/2) × 350 = 175

Marks Secured in first paper = 40% of 200

⇒ 200 × 40/100 = 80

Remaining marks to be secured = 175 - 80 = 95

According to the question,

⇒ (95/150)× 100

⇒ 63.33% or 64%

∴ The required percentage of marks is 64%
