If P be the present population then after n year population will be P(1 - r/100)ⁿ

Calculation:

Let, present population = P

Accordingly,

P(1 - r/100)ⁿ = 96228

⇒ P(1 - 10/100)³ = 96228

⇒ P = 96228 × (10/9) × (10/9) × (10/9)

⇒ P = 132000

∴ Present population is 132000 i.e. 1.32 lakhs.
