Given:

The population of a town increased = 10%

Present population = 20,000

Concept used:

Percentage increase will be successive percentage increase

Calculation:

According to the question

⇒ 20,000 + 20,000 × 10/100

⇒ 20,000 + 2000

⇒ 22,000

∴ The population of town in the next year will be 22,000
