Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : \(14{2 \over 7}\%\)

Given:

Two numbers are 30% and 40% less than the third number

Calculation

Let the third number be 100.

The first number = 100 – 30 = 70

Second number = 100 – 40 = 60

Difference between the first and second number = 70 – 60 = 10

Required % = (10/70) × 100 = \(14{2 \over 7}\%\)

∴ Second number is \(14{2 \over 7}\%\)
