Correct Answer - Option 3 : 48

Given:

Let total population of village be A.

Total number of males in a village = A × 40/100 = 2A/5

Total female population of a village = (A - 2A/5) × 70/100 = 21A/50

Total children in a village = 432

⇒ (A - 2A/5) × 30/100 = 432

⇒ 9A/50 = 432

⇒ A = 2400

Total male population of village = 2/5 × 2400 = 960

Total female population of village = 21/50 × 2400 = 1008

∴ Required difference = 1008 - 960 = 48
