Correct Answer - Option 3 : AIDS

The correct answer is AIDS.

AIDS:

  • Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a lifelong, potentially life-threatening disease.
  • It is caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
  • When a cell is infected with an HIV virus several effects may be seen.
  • There is currently no effective cure.
  • Once people get HIV, they have it for life.
  • But with proper medical care, HIV can be controlled.

  • Many viruses cause no harm or disease.
  • However, some viruses may attack certain cells and multiply within them.

  • Typhoid
    • Typhoid is a bacterial infection that can lead to high fever, diarrhoea, and vomiting.
    • It is caused by the bacteria Salmonella typhi.
    • The infection is often passed on through contaminated food and drinking water
  • Pneumonia
    • A variety of organisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, can cause pneumonia.
    • Common causes of viral pneumonia are influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19).
  • Plague
    • Plague is an infectious disease caused by Yersinia pestis bacteria, usually found in small mammals and their fleas.
    • The disease is transmitted between animals and, as it is a zoonotic bacterium, it can also transmit from animals to humans.
