∴ x = 0.4762j + 0.3571
Regression equation of y on x = (y – ȳ) = bxy (x – x̄)
y – 4.5 = 2(x – 2.5)
y = 2x – 2 × 2.5 + 4.5
y = 2x – 5 + 4.5
∴ = 2x – 0.5
