Best answer

(i) (-6) x (4 + (-5)) = (-6) x (-1) = 6.

((-6) x 4) + ((-6) x (-5)) = (-24) + 30 = 6

Hence (-6) x (4 + (-5)) = ((-6) x 4) + ((-6) x (-5))

(ii) (-3) x [2 + (-8)] = (-3) x (-6) = 18

Also [(-3) x 2] + [(-3) x 8] = (-6) + (-24) = -30

(-3) x [2 + (-8)] ≠ [(-3) x 2] + [(-3) x 8]
