The Need for Morality
Every institution – be it a fanıily, a school or any other public undertaking, we find signs of discontentment, impatience and resentment. Life seems off the track in every department of life. We find better living standards around us, but lawlessness and disorder are seen everywhere. What is missing in our life?
Obviously, morality has vanished from our life. Self-introspection will make it clear that love for money has made us blind towards our family, towards our duties and towards society. We receive huge amounts of salaries and make huge profits in business but our greed for money remains unfulfilled.
Performance of duties sincerely, human sympathy, charity, mercy and helpfulness have vanished from our life. We visit the temples and listen to the preechings of the religious saints. But we never realize our moral duties because our conscience has gone dead. Let us invoke the Divine blessings and pray to Him for the revival of morality in our life
प्रत्येक संस्था चाहे वह परिवार हो, स्कूल हो या अन्य कोई जन संस्थान हो, हमें हर जगह असन्तोष, धैर्यहीनता और रोष के संकेत मिलते हैं। जीवन के प्रत्येक आयाम का जीवन पटरी से उतरा हुआ मिलता है। हम अपने चारों ओर बेहतर रहने-सहने का स्तर पाते हैं, परन्तु हर जगह कानूनहीनता और अफरातफरी देखने को मिलती है। हमारे जीवन से क्या चीज निकल गई है ?
स्पष्ट है कि हमारे जीवन से नैतिकता लुप्त हो गई है। अन्य निरीक्षण इस बात को स्पष्ट करता है कि धन के लोभ ने हमें अपने परिवार के प्रति, अपने समाज के प्रति, अपने कर्तव्यों के प्रति अंधा कर दिया है। हम मोटा वेतन प्राप्त करते हैं और कारोबार में मोटा लाभ कमाते हैं, फिर भी धन का लालच अतृप्त रहता है।
सन्यनिष्ठा से कर्तव्यों का पालन करना, मानवीय सहानुभूति, दानशीलता, दया और दूसरों के सहायता करना ये सब गुण हमारे जीवन से लुप्त हो गये हैं। हम मन्दिरों में जाते हैं, साधु-सन्तों के उपदेश सुनते हैं। परन्तु हम कभी भी अपने नैतिक कर्तव्यों को नहीं समझते क्योंकि हमारी आत्मा मर चुकी है। आओः हम दिव्य आशीर्वाद की कामना करें और प्रभू से प्रार्थना करें कि हमारे जीवन में नैतिकता पुनः जाग उठे।
